1.     The awards are open to any property developer with a development or developments located outside the UK.

3.     All developments entered should be viewable by a visiting judge between Monday 30 June and Friday 29 August (including weekends if necessary).

4.     In order for a development to be eligible for entry, at least a show home must be completed to an assessable standard before Friday 9 May 2008. Established developments can also be entered in all categories.

5.     By entering the Homes Overseas Awards, you will be granting Globespan Media (the publishers of Homes Overseas magazine and www.homesoverseas.co.uk) and any person authorised by Globespan Media, the right to publish photographs and other marketing materials of all entries to the Homes Overseas Awards in any or all of their publications as well as in the publications of any recognised media partners of the awards.

6.     Any development entered for any award must comply fully with all local legal requirements including (but not limited to) planning or building consents, good title and, where the law so requires, the benefit of guarantees as to the structure or physical completion of the building. Globespan Media reserves the right to refuse entry into the Homes Overseas Awards to any prospective entrant that it considers does not meet the minimum entry standards.

7.     If you would like your entries returned after the Awards ceremony, individual arrangements will need to be made to collect them from Globespan Media’s offices in London no earlier than Friday 31 October 2008, and no later than Friday, 28 November 2008. Although every effort will be made to ensure safe return where requested, no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage once entries have been received, as an average entry will pass through many hands and may well travel with judges. It is therefore essential not to send any irreplaceable original material of any description, as its safe return cannot be guaranteed.

8.     If your development has been visited by an accredited Homes Overseas Awards judge since January 1, 2008, we may ask that judge to write the awards report based on their visit. If we intend to do this we will contact you, giving you the opportunity to detail changes and progress made since the date of that visit.

9.     Judges’ reports will be produced for award-winning developments only.

10.  The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
